Al’s run
Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk has raised more than $11 million dollars with the help of outstanding community support. Corporate sponsorships and the pledge campaign are critically important components of the event. Your involvement makes it possible for us to provide medical care for more than 325,000 patient visits every year.
We are grateful to our generous sponsors, team captains, walkers, runners, volunteers and pledgeraisers who make a tremendous difference in the lives of children year after year.
History
A tradition begins
Join us Saturday, Oct. 9, 2010, for the 33rd Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk for Children’s Hospital. This event has raised more than $11 million dollars with the help of outstanding community support. In 2009, more than 14,500 participants raised approximately $1 million for Children’s Hospital. Be a part of one of Milwaukee’s longest running traditions!
The Al’s Run success story
Briggs & Al’s Run & Walk owes its success to a wellspring of community support that has benefited Children’s Hospital in countless ways. The late Marquette University basketball coach Al McGuire, the event’s founder, was deeply committed to supporting many Children’s Hospital programs. Proceeds from the first run and walk went toward the prosthetic limb bank.
